Whether you have opted for a religious or civil wedding, you will need to choose suitable wedding readings for the ceremony.
They are not a religious or legal requirement but they can set the tone of a wedding and create a real romantic, loving atmosphere.
They don’t have to be adoring or passionate instead humorous and funny if that is more your type but they are important to the ceremony.
Ideally, all readings should sincerely reflect how much the couple feel about each other and include meaningful extracts to suit your wedding style.
Popular religious readings are Genesis 1. 18-24; Matthew 7.21, 24-29; 1 Corinthians 13.1-13; and Mark 10.6-9.
Whatever reading you pick, remember that it will ultimately set the mood of the ceremony so choose something that reflects your own feelings or something that has a special significance to the two of you.
